Cornstarch Peanuts and Sponge Bag Painting

We were busy busy today! This morning we played in a sensory table full of cornstarch packing peanuts! We did our normal stirring and throwing!

Then we realized we could rip them in half!

After we had played with them for awhile, we poured warm water all over them!

At first they were sticky and Spencer thought they smelled like popcorn!

The more we played with them, the more they turned to mush!

Mason would touch it a little...

Carson...not so much :)

Pretty squishy stuff!

We could even draw pictures in it!

Carson stayed busy playing on the slide once it got beyond his "messy comfort zone"!

For our art project we did sponge painting inside a bag. The first thing we did was roll our wet sponges in paint...

Then we put the sponges in the bags with our paper. After that we shook and pressed the sponges inside the bags! What great art we made!

Our ladybug larvae are growing very fast! They are big enough now for the little kids to see easily. We really enjoy observing them. We just wish we could hold them!

Have a wonderful weekend!
